Our Focus

Horizon Christian Middle School exists for the purpose of bringing its students into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, helping them to grow spiritually, and training and equipping them to impact the world with Christ.

Philosophy

It is the belief of the administration and staff at Horizon Community Church and Horizon Christian Middle School that meaningful education includes an understanding and appreciation of God, His purpose, His character, and His abundant love. Having this belief in mind, we have dedicated our school to providing its students with a meaningful and comprehensive education. It is our first purpose to bring students into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. In addition to that we are determined to strive towards educating and training our students to be thoughtful (filled with wisdom and knowledge), appreciative, and productive citizens of God's kingdom and the community in which they live.

Foundational Beliefs

  • We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and should be a natural part of the academic instruction.
  • We believe it is an essential part of instruction to help each child discover and develop their special God-given talents and abilities.
    We believe in the power of prayer and the importance of praying for the needs of our students, their families, and the school and church on a regular basis.
  • We believe in the necessity of partnering with parents in the training and education of their child(ren).
  • We believe in the importance of modeling a lifestyle that honors Christ and is obedient to His will and purpose.
